The addition of a blog to your businesses website is a great way for you to connect with your customers but can also be a powerful way to help strengthen your brand. Many businesses believe that a blog can be time consuming and pointless, rather than being the beneficial tool it actually is.

A blog can be one of the most cost effective ways to promote your business and can if done right ultimately lead to more traffic and more conversions. Writing an effective business blog can be a challenge but we’ve got these steps you’ll have a blog that your customers will love. 

Use a snappy title

Let’s start from the beginning, the first thing that’s going to grab your readers attention is a powerful, snappy title. Use a title that explains what exactly your customers will get from this article and include keywords if you can so that those looking for your content through search engines can find you. 

Write for your customers

It’s likely that your readers are your customers, so it’s important that you write content that is suitable for them. Your business blog is (obviously) about your business and your customers, your content should aim to answer any questions your customers have, promote new products and deliver insights into your industry.

Be conversational

Effective blogs have a viewpoint and a tone of voice, imagine your blog as and extension of your professional voice. Speak directly to your readers, be friendly and speak to them in a way that is appropriate for you target audience. Don’t be boring, avoid technical jargon and ultimately create a corporate personality that adds to your brand.
